Breast cancer screening – mammography (women, ages 50-74 years)

Women who underwent a mammogram during the two previous years (numerator), among Women aged 50-74 years (denominator)

Rational:

Breast cancer is the most common malignant disease among women in Israel. In women above the age of 50 the primary radiographic method for early detection of breast cancer is mammography [1]. The survival rates of women with breast cancer have improved over the past few years, an improvement partly attributed to early detection [2].

Numerator:

Women in the denominator who underwent a mammogram during the two previous years

Women aged 50-74 years
