Cardiovascular Health

The area of cardiovascular disease within the framework of QICH includes blood pressure measurements, as well as cholesterol levels measurement and control in the adult population (primary prevention). These two common risk factors, can be controlled by lifestyle changes and / or medications, and have significant health consequences when uncontrolled.  In addition, cholesterol-levels target achievement and the use of cholesterol-lowering medications in cardiac patients after invasive intervention (therapeutic catheterization or bypass surgery) is measured.
